FLORIDA KEYS ARTIST MILLARD WELLS


The KEYS HISTORY & DISCOVERY FOUNDATION presents THE ART OF MILLARD WELLS, June 19th thru August 10th at the KEYS HISTORY & DISCOVERY CENTER, located on the grounds of GUY HARVEY’S ISLANDER RESORT, mile marker 82, Oceanside in Islamorada.
MILLARD WELLS (1921-2012) was a member of the prestigious AMERICAN WATERCOLOR SOCIETY and, from his home and studio in the Upper FLORIDA KEYS, produced a lifetime of impressions of the spectacular surroundings – becoming one the most esteemed and prolific watercolor specialists in Florida.
Also on display will be LEGENDS OF THE LINE, a historical perspective of the development of SPORTFISHING in the Upper Keys including high-profile legends such as ZANE GREY and baseball icon TED WILLIAMS.
The exhibits are open Thursdays thru Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. Cost is $12 adults, $10 seniors, children 13 & under FREE. For more information, call 305-922-2237.
