MEMORIAL DAY IN THE KEYS


Join the MATECUMBE HISTORICAL TRUST for its annual MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE, 9 am, Monday, May 27th at the Florida Keys Hurricane Memorial, mile marker 81.5, oceanside on the Old Highway in Islamorada. The monument, dedicated in 1937, honors the VETERANS and civilians killed in the Labor Day hurricane of 1935 – long before today’s modern storm-predicting methods. MEMORIAL DAY is also the day to remember ALL the VETERANS who have died in active military service to our country. For more info, call: 305-393-0940.
