THIRD THURSDAY WALKABOUT!


THURSDAY, JANUARY 17th - Morada Way's Third Thursday Walkabout. These FREE events are held every month on the Third Thursday. Located at Mile Marker 81.5 on the Old Highway. THIS THURSDAY, Artist Pasta Pantaleo will be painting a Smart Car for a drawing to be held January 27th. The hours of the event are 6 - 9 p.m. Stroll along the Old Highway and Morada Way with family and friends to enjoy the sights, sounds and culinary arts in the Heart of Islamorada. ART! MUSIC! FOOD!

CHEER ON OUR WOUNDED WARRIORS!

Close to 30 U.S. soldiers wounded in Iraq & Afghanistan will take part in a rehabilitative bike ride Friday, January 11th. The community is encouraged to come outside and cheer the riders on as they pass through the upper Keys. On Friday, starting around 8:30 a.m., riders will travel from the Veterans of Foreign Wars hall in Key Largo to the Tiki Bar at the Postcard Inn in Islamorada. There will be a “cheer stop” at Coral Shores High School and the ride should finish at the Tiki bar at about 10:30 a.m. The second part of Friday’s ride will take place from the Marathon Fire Station over the Seven Mile Bridge.
